Privacy Policy for FoxBot

Effective Date: 9/10/2024

FoxBot (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting any data we collect from users. This Privacy Policy explains what information FoxBot collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

1. Information We Collect

When you use FoxBot, we may collect the following types of information:

  • User IDs and Server IDs: These are required to operate FoxBot’s features and respond to commands.
  • Messages: The bot may temporarily store messages for the purpose of processing commands, but they are not stored persistently unless specifically stated (e.g., for logging features).
  • Server-specific Settings: Information like command preferences, configurations, or stockpile data that are tied to specific servers.
  • Foxhole Stockpile Information: Stockpile information for the game “Foxhole” is saved on a per-guild basis. Other guilds cannot access a guild’s stockpile data. This data may also be collected for the purpose of compiling end-of-war statistics.

2. How We Use the Information

The information we collect is used to:

  • Provide and maintain FoxBot’s functionalities.
  • Respond to user commands and queries.
  • Customize and improve the user experience.
  • Ensure the smooth operation and management of the bot on your server.
  • Foxhole Stockpile Data: The stockpile data collected from each guild is used only by the guild itself and for calculating end-of-war statistics. This data is kept private from other guilds.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties, except:

  • If required by law.
  • To protect the security or functionality of the bot.

3. Data Retention

  • User Data: User and server IDs are retained for as long as FoxBot is part of the server. This data is deleted when FoxBot is removed from the server or if the server owner requests its deletion.
  • Temporary Data: Messages and commands processed by FoxBot are not stored permanently. Any data used temporarily for command execution is deleted shortly after processing.
  • Foxhole Stockpile Data: Stockpile data is retained for the duration of the war in the “Foxhole” game and may be used for post-war statistics.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to ensure that any data collected is stored securely and protected against unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. Third-Party Services

FoxBot does not share data with third-party services unless explicitly required for a feature. In such cases, the data shared will be limited to what is necessary for that service to function.

6. Your Choices

  • Opting Out: You can opt-out of FoxBot by removing it from your server. Upon removal, the bot will no longer collect any data from your server.
  • Request Data Removal: If you are a server owner or administrator, you may request the deletion of all data specific to your server by contacting us at MSmithdev.com.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy. Continued use of FoxBot after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
